Convenient Location

The Mango Hill property is located in El Espino (pop. 1,850), a corregimiento in the San Carlos district. 

The district's capital is the city of San Carlos, which serves as the entry point to the area's popular beaches.

Just to the north El Espino is the beautiful Valle de Anton (El Valle for short), the bio-diverse home to waterfalls, exotic birds and all sorts of adventure activities.

 Playa Coronado and Playa Farallón are upscale beach destinations with both black and white sand. Lined with resorts, they offer every amenity imaginable -- including sailing, jet skiing and parasailing. Located between these two are a number of other pleasant beaches like Playa Santa Clara and Playa El Palmar (mid-size waves ideal for surfing).  

A final place of interest is Punta Chame, a thin Pacific coast peninsula that boasts wonderful conditions for windsurfing. Of course, there are whole stretches of sand along this coast that provide visitors with secluded spots to spend their day. 

 Not far from the property, Parque Nacional Altos de Campana, is a relatively unknown national park that lies 67 km (42 mi) from Panama City. The park’s trails are well maintained and is a favorite among bird-watchers.

Nearby El Valle is a quaint little town set 600 meters (1,970 ft.) above sea level. Settled into the valley of an extinct volcano, El Valle is surrounded by lush, towering hills that offer wonderful (albeit rugged) hiking. Visitors to El Valle can glide along ziplines, ride horses, and visit waterfalls. El Valle’s Sunday market is also renowned as one of the best in Panama.
